Hunting for a Home....
Things I never in a million years wanted the girls to be exposed to are now becoming commonplace......so I think it's time to get into a house already!!!! Every spare minute we have is being spent on househunting, but in this fast-paced market, it has to be. We found one house but it was sold later that day before Braden and I even had a chance to talk it over. So, we are in high gear so that we don't miss a thing. And luckily so is our buyer's agent who is a magician! Anyways, so yesterday our agent got a new lead on a house that was just reduced in price so she gave me a call. I woke the girls and packed them in the car and Emma pipes up "Emma going to watch Veggie Tales". Oh boy- didn't realize how much we've been letting her watch the portable dvd player while househunting. So I plugged in Veggie Tales and we hit the road. We met the agent at a hardware store (I get lost a lot in Rock Hill, so I needed to meet somewhere that was not confusing and follow her to the house), and once Emma saw it she said "Go get dinner quick". Oh yikes! I guess we have been eating out at least once or twice a week- that's a lot compared to the never eat out rule we had in Michigan. So t.v. and fast food........she's only two. I am so done with househunting because it's really pushing us to sacrifice things that are important (park time, homemade dinners every night, and play rather than t.v. time). So here's my prayer that we find a home that we can grow our love in.......and fast!
Bela is really starting to follow Emma around and mimic as much as she can. She dances, drums on her legs, and talks just like her big sister. And she eats any food Emma will sneak to her during dinner. Those two are so funny! In the car (since we're in it a lot these days), they love to entertain each other and give big belly laughs. When Bela falls asleep, Emma gets bored and does every sneaky thing she can do to wake her sister. Yesterday I caught her throwing a toy at poor Bela's head in order to wake her up. Oy vay! But I guess it's better than sneaking her a tissue and yelling at her when she eats it. And it's better that they can't get enough of each other than they've had enough!
Three weeks and we girls are hitting the airways to come visit Michigan! We're counting the days! It'll be nice and relaxing, and we can't wait to eat REAL apples!!! (None of these half-rotted things we get down here!)
