Big Girl's Halloween

It seems like overnight our little baby has become a "big girl". Now sans both bottle and "pip", she's facing the night without a problem, even asking to go "night night" because she's tired. The giant monkey in her crib is now enough to get her off to dreamland...
Every day is filled with new words- today it was "gar" (star) and "soap". But her repertoire is enough to amaze us daily. "Doggie" "cat" "please" "apple" "grapes" "ouch" "bath" "hot" "hat" "no" "off" "on" "up" "car" "dance" and so much more...... How do we even keep up? We just smile at the tiny voice that is behind the words and the proud smile she sports each time she says something new.
We tried the whole fingerpainting thing....found out Emma likes to eat paint. Good thing it's non-toxic.
Halloween was a blast. We went to Zoo Boo (which was fun and adorable!)with Ava and Abbie and even trick-or-treated to a couple of houses and had a visit from Grandma and Grandpa. Emma even visited her great-grandparents and some of her cousins too! Boy was it a big day because she even got to pick out a special toy for going many days without a pacifier ("pip"). She chose a Curious George fire truck (really, who is surprised?)and be-bopped around Meijer making her own fire engine sound effects. She now carries this toy EVERYWHERE and has her own giant monkey play with it too.
Funny thing- caught Emma today clapping her monkey's hands together and then making it wave, saying "ba ba" (bubye). Cutie.
Oh- and check out daddy as "The Man With the Yellow Hat", our little Curious George's best friend.
