NO MORE DIAPERS?!

WOOOOOHOOOO!!!! I think Bela is potty trained......for the most part! She loves her new big-girl pants and her "special potty", so she just pretty much decided this week to go potty 100% of the time! Well, actually, about 95% of the time because she's scared of the flusher at school, so diapers there. But I don't have to change diapers anymore! (Just her teachers :) So that's exciting for me!
But we're trading diapers for a big-girl attitude! This little tutu-wearin diva tries (I think) to listen, but finds it difficult more than not. When you tell her to put on her "listening ears", she'll put her hands over her ears and make a clicking sound (which is pretty funny), but will then just walk away and not listen to a darn thing you say. She gets a little distracted I guess.......not sure who she takes after :) But she's hilarious and has a very sophisticated sense of humor. Toilet homor is her specialty (which at the 2 year old level is laugh out loud funny........SO HARD to keep a straight face when we have to tell her it's inappropriate). And she's also got a new "pip" (pacifier) which she picked out special at the store, trading her thumb for it :) Not sure if it'll work, but her fascination with babies might help us trade in her thumb for a pacifier she doesn't know how to use (she just likes to hold it and bite it!). She's also super proud of her "motorcycle" (tricycle) that she likes to cruise around the neighborhood in. If only she were patient enough to learn to pedal.........it's a little backbreaking in our hilly neighborhood to push her all around!
Emma's still as sweet as ever, growing soooo fast. She's determined to grow "long princess hair", so that makes hair trims a bit difficult. But she's loving life, learning all sorts of nursery rhymes by heart at school. She is so much like her daddy, not letting anything bother her at all. She's just so happy all the time. The only time she tells me much about her feelings is when she invites me to color with her. I relish these coloring sessions- they're like art therapy :) As she grows big, she's getting SO good at pedaling her little bike around our neighborhood. She is LOVING the fact that she gets M and M's when she goes potty now (after she made a pretty good case for herself about the unfairness of Bela getting candy while she wasn't for the same action....ah kids) And she's geting even more protective of her sister, sticking up for her, making sure she has everything she could ever want/need, and dealing with her antics with more patience than I.......oh Emma, my sanity :)
The girls are looking forward to "Doughnuts with Dad" at school this month and the opening of Carowinds (our theme park) too!!!!! Can't wait to do season passes again!

SNOW DAY!
