Jesus Loves Me When I'm Bad, though it Makes Him Very Sad
We are officially thoooooooooose people that you pretend not to look at when you're at church but can't help starting at........ Yup, we managed to scream, throw tantrums, spill snacks, rip the song book, fart (thank you Bela), and even play with the poor guy's butt in front of us (apparently his buttons were interesting to Bela). The mass couldn't have ended soon enough for us............maybe we'll homeschool? And the worst part came when I was cleaning out the church bag this morning......I found the missel that we accidentally stole!!!!!!!! At these they're funny most of the time, otherwise I think I'd go nuts!
Every night Emma gets her hair blow-dryed into "princess hair". It's quite a show as she gazes at her "beauuuuutiful hair" in the mirror (which by the way either looks like "Prince Valiant" from The Princess Bride or Pippi Longstocking......poor child was born with difficult hair). We were talking about her princess hair over dinner the other night and she said "Daddy has gray hair". I couldn't figure out where she came up with that one....until I realized that we always say "You kids are going to give us gray hair!" Maybe we should be a little more careful about what we say! Great find the other day at a consignment sale: a flower girl dress for a few bucks! Emma wears it all the time now. She looks like a HUGE fluffy wedding cake, but she feels and acts like Cinderella herself! Can't beat the deal! Bela continues to play dress up all the time (it's her favorite activity along with birdwatching), always bringing me high heels to put on her little feet. She's a trip! She even has her favorite pieces- a gold crown, a beaded necklace, and a pink skirt. These girls are always fighting anymore. If one sister has something, the other neeeeeeeeds it (or so she thinks). I literally had to break up a fight today over a folding chair! That's right, a folding chair! There are FOUR in our kitchen and they had to fight over one of them (they were pretending it was a car and driving it around). I guess they're just getting to that age. But Emma has a complex now that Bela is going to steal everything she plays with, so she won't set anything on the floor. And she makes me promise that Bela won't eat whatever it is she's playing with. Oh these kids.... They sure are cute! This video is from before Bela's first birthday. You can check out Emma's smoothe moves...
