Moo Cows and Lions

Emma is just all giggles lately which is a lot of fun!!! She runs around the house and plays "catch me if you can" or her own little version of hide and seek. And just as she was phasing out nap #2, her bursts of energy have caught up with her and all this is wearing her little body out. She's taking nap #3 as we speak.......funny kid.
She's also started answering some simple questions. First, it was "What does a cow say?" and she would reply "muh". Then, we added the lion to her repertoire when she learned to growl (very cute I might add because she is so serious). Now she can point to things like "dada" or the cat, or even "the baby" (the one she sees in the mirror!) She's getting so big, it's nice that she still loves running back to our arms.
Emma's new favorite song is "Happy Tapping with Elmo". She be bops her little diapered butt up and down and taps along with Elmo. Hilarious.

Little Moo Cow

After MONTHS of reading the same book over and over (Noisy Farm) Emma can answer the question "What does a cow say?"
Her response sounds more like "muh" than moo. But it's cute. Even without the book, she knows what a cow says. Pretty smart. The rest of the animals are stumpers, but I'm sure she'll get those soon enough.

Le Petit Chef

The little chef now enjoys "stirring" up some dinner while her mama cooks. Here are some pictures of the cooking, eating, and cleaning processes. What a doll.

The Amazing Emma

Emma's officially walking, despite a small balance issue :) She's enjoying the view from atop her 30 inch frame (can you believe she's grown 9 inches since birth?!!), though it's giving her parents frequent heart attacks. And she has also learned how to really crawl, so the getting around thing is much easier these days.
On Saturday we spent the day with the Tabins and BOOOOYYYY did Emma loooooove Clara and Caitlin! She would follow Caitlin everywhere (except the baby pool- didn't so much like that) and try to touch Clara and all of her toys. She's a social one! And lately she's also been having conversations with the babies in her Peek-a-Boo book, even trying to touch noses with them. It's really funny actually!
New language development-- she now uses the sign for "milk" every time she wants it, and has added the sign for "more" sometimes when she wants more of a particular food (like Macaroni and Cheese--- I know it's no good for her, but she had it and loooooooves it!) She's also babbling nearly all of her letters, even a lispy sounding "s". Very cool!
Daddy was just on vacation for a week and Emma LOOOOOVED it!!! She got to watch him outside while he worked, and to see him out a window is just HILARIOUS to her. So that was fun. Plus, she got plenty of fun guy attention and it was play time all the time!
OH---haha, almost forgot. Emma thinks she has powers in her finger. She really really likes to lay on our bed and then just point at the ceiling fan. It turns on, and she has fun just sitting and staring. When it gets to slow for her liking, she simply points, and it magically turns back on! Amazing little girl!
